Canyelles is a picturesque and charming village, a strategic location due to its position as a link between the sea and the mountains. The municipality is located in the northern sector of the Garraf region and borders the Alt Penedès, forming a basin surrounded by various hills (puig de Sant Miquel, 358m, Redondo and puig de l’Àliga, 435m, and Montgròs, 358m). Located in a forest environment, between the Olèrdola Regional Park and the Garraf Natural Park, it provides the municipality with fresh air, ideal for nature walks.
The Vilafranca stream runs through the municipality and from the mountains and hills that embrace the village, several streams flow down to the centre of the municipality, in the Canyelles stream. Thus we find a municipality rich in underground water and in a privileged natural environment.
All these factors make Canyelles a municipality with a strong character of its own and integrated into the local geography.
